Travel by road
From the M5 take the A30 signposted Oakehampton. Stay on the A30 until the turning for St. Austell (A391). Follow the signs for St. Austell until you reach traffic lights at the A390. Turn right here and follow directions "From Plymouth".

From Plymouth take the A390 to St. Austell. Turn left at traffic lights into Holmbush Arch Road. (Directly opposite Tesco). Continue under the arch bridge and turn left at the mini roundabout. About 500 metres further on turn right into Sea Road - Porth Avallen Hotel is 500 metres along on the left.

From Truro take the A390 to St. Austell. Continue over the double roundabout at the Texaco garage then straight over the next roundabout at Asda. Continue straight on at Mount Charles roundabout and turn right at the lights into Holmbush Arch Road (opposite Tesco). For continuation see "From Plymouth".
